[USA] Post-grad life is overwhelming.

I do not know what to do now that I missed the application deadlines for some Ph.D. or Psy.D programs for clinical psychology. Originally, I wanted to be a psychiatrist. After speaking with my professors and other adults in my life, I realized that I would want more time with patients than a quick interaction like a psychiatrist has. I know that I should have applied to a doctorate program or a graduate program sooner. There was so much going on in my life, my advisors were not the most helpful, and the school I wanted to apply to did not have a clinical psychology program. Additionally, I was navigating alternative careers other than a clinical psychologist because the field of psychology has so many job opportunities. Now, I am looking at a master's in counseling as well. Some programs still have applications open now. I am really worried because I do not have much longer to live off my parents' health insurance since I am now 22 years old, and I will turn 23 in August. I also live in the U.S.A. Any tips, advice, encouragement or suggestions? Is being a clinical psychologist even worth it? Could I go back for a doctorate someday?
