Friendly or interested?
She's 29f, I'm 31m, we both work in a same office in IT, she's my mentor hence her position and exp are higher than mine. I like her and the vibe and would gladly asked her out, but I'm not sure if it's just friendliness and don't wanna have that awkwardness during the work in case of misinterpretation. I'd also like to work in the company for a long time, so its quite difficult to risk)
We work together around 3 months, and recently got significantly closer if earlier it was just asking questions that are out of my knowledge, now we talk almost the whole day ask work and non work related questions, opinions, tastes, joke a lot etc. When I told her about my current relationships she agreed with all my arguments to brake up and last 2 days she's been carefully touching my shoulder, constantly giving me treats, complimenting my jacket and took me with her to the supermarket lol.
What confuses me is that we both play tennis and table tennis at a good level. The first time I suggested renting a court or a table and having a match, she refused and said she was busy and had something to do. She didn’t suggest another time.
I brought it up again yesterday since we both had a day off today, but she refused again, saying she had already made plans with a female friend. Again, she didn’t suggest another time.
To me, it just seems like friendliness from a mentor to mentee to make the onboarding process easier if not I don't understand why couldn't she just come up with another time(
