How do I convince my parents to get a solo condo for med school

My parents have insisted on me getting a roommate or rather—find someone who has been renting already and be the “joiner” but this has been incredibly difficult. It’s been months and no luck since I only want one roommate and most of the posts on fb groups are 4pax and up, and mostly undergrad students of the university I’ll be attending. They also want my roommate to be in the same med school/same course as me so it’s so hard to meet their demands talaga huhu and it doesn’t help that they keep pressuring me every week asking for updates and saying stuff like I’m not looking enough-.-
And they want me to move into the unit one month ahead of classes so I really need to move into by July.

Their reasons for this is because (1) I’m a female and they said it’s dangerous to walk alone especially when I have classes that end late (2) they want me to be the joiner because they told me stuff about the possibility of having a roommate who doesn’t pay on time and the penalties will fall on me since my name is the one that’s written in the contract (3) It’s my first time living away from them and they’re not comfortable with me being alone (4) They want me to stay at a cheap dorm but expect condo-looking rooms with security and other amenities like study rooms or gyms that you could literally only find on condos that range 16k+++😭🤦🏻‍♀️

Idk how else to convince them so I thought maybe I could find people here who were on the same boat as me. They really believe that I will not survive med school by myself.
What did you guys tell your parents to convince them that living solo during med school is the best option?

Also yes I’m the youngest child so maybe that’s the reason for the protectiveness haha

EDIT: they said they can afford the condo unit rates naman but if there’s a cheaper option then why not but idk why they still expect cheap dorms to be at par with condos😭 ewan ko nagugulohan na ako hahaha

Do I need to have stellar grades and graduate as a laude to practice abroad?

Hello I’m an incoming first year med student and I will be attending UST-FMS soon! I have family living in the US and so it makes more sense for me to practice there. However, I’m not a green card holder so when I apply for a residency I will be labeled as a non-US IMG which means that the competition is a lot tougher for residency slots. I want to know would it still be feasible to practice abroad if I don’t have amazing credentials? I will try my best to get good grades and good step scores but I’m asking just in case things go south for me since I know studying medicine is very difficult. I would really appreciate your kind responses, I really need some guidance on this. ☺️
