Double jaw surgery progression

I'm still unsure what I think about the way things have been progressing in the last few weeks. I know I'm only 18 days post op. But it's hard not to feel underwhelmed by what I see in the mirror right now. Overall though I do think it is starting to take a turn for the best. It looks a little better everyday. But I know I still have a ways to go to see the final results. I think my chin is finally looking a little less recessed now. But I hope over the next few weeks as more swelling goes away my jaw line won't be as soft looking anymore. I'm just so impatient for the results. And it's hard not to ask if this was all worth it for the pain and mental game of not being able to chew.

I know I'm still really swollen. But does it look like my chin will still look recessed?

So I am only 6 days post op double jaw surgery. I'm happy with my top movements. But with my bottom I am concerned it will look like I'm still recessed once I heal. Like I had somewhat of a chin before surgery. But I was hoping it would somewhat push out a bit being moved forward. Should I have asked for a genioplasty? I would do one in the future but it cost good money. And it's more healing. I'm so upset this wasn't something my surgeon thought about asking me. He didn't think I needed it. But now I kind of wish I got even just some movement in my chin. Anyway I know it's still early to say how it will all look once things move where they should. But I'm so scared of having to do more surgeries. I already need to get a septoplasty later on down the road because of a deviated septum.
