I’m currently watching Promised Neverland so it isn’t this one but reminded me of one I watched that was similar, or I have serious Déjà vu. I remember watching an anime that took place in and around an orphanage. They were told not to go into the woods around the orphanage. There was a wooden fence with a wooden gate to act as a border. One of the orphans got to leave or choose to leave and they took a torch with them. I remember they found basically the edge of the world beyond the woods. There was some weird supernatural stuff that happened like a large sinkhole appearing in the backyard play area. I tried searching but only found The promised Neverland and something about fireflies which it isn’t either of those. I looked up some of the names of others I stumbled across and even checked my watch history and still can’t find it
