I’m Eritrean and currently living abroad. I’m wondering what would happen if I returned to Eritrea after finishing high school.

Would I be immediately required to join the national service, or is there a process/age requirement before you’re called up?

I’d especially appreciate answers from Eritreans who have actually gone through this or know the current situation.

Where can I find news about the ongoing conflict in Tigray, because it seems that news in English is limited?
