Got my tickets to Bucureşti! A few questions,

I will be visiting București at the end of the month for a few days. I’m currently doing my research, but I’d love some local insights on a couple of things
Fıst of all for transportatıon I’m planning to get a 3 day pass. From what I understand surface transport and the metro use different payment systems. Would you recommend the combined pass that covers both or can I just stıck to the upperground optıon? Or is there a more efficient way to get around that I’m missing?
I'll have a small kitchen where I’m staying and plan to cook a bit. Which supermarket chains would you recommend that are both good quality and budget frıendly? Are there specific ones that are better for prefered food brands? Also, are there any central markets you’d suggest for fresh finds?
Any other tips for a first timer are more than welcome! :)
