Cancun: Westin Lagunamar vs. Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive???
Hi everyone- I am stuck and after reading tons of reviews that keep referencing couples or kids that are way older than mine- I need some help:
I’m in charge of planning a Two-Family Cancun Vacation in August 2026.
We have 4 adults mid-late 40s (2M and 2F) + Three kids ages: 5,6, and 10 yrs old.
My son is a picky eater (Nuggets, hot dogs, teriyaki chicken and rice, buttered noodles)
4 Night stay (so maybe day trips to Tulum or even Lagunamar on-site “ruins” are off-the-table)
THE ASK: I’d really appreciate an assessment of which of these properties is better for our trip + kiddo ages.
**Our main desires are**
- Great Pools / Hot Tubs
- kiddo activities (like Stuff-a-buddy at MVC Marco island is a hit)
- great beach + shelling (calmer waters preferred)
- kid friendly food
- Spa services for the ladies (nice but not a deal breaker).
I’d love to poll this amazing community.
I am Titanium elite and understand that in the Cancun Hotel zone that’s essentially worthless…
please let me know your thoughts! 🙏
TL,DR:
Help me pick between Lagunamar Westin and the Marriott Cancun all Inclusive:
2 Families: 4 Adults and 3 Kids
NOTE: I have read reviews comparing the AI vs JW, which although informative isn’t really what I need to compare. The JW seems very NOT kid friendly. so that’s out of the question. Lagunamar at least has a single water-slide. 💦 🛝 🐠
