Upgrading from Lee Pacesetter dies to Whidden Full Length Dies and 21st Century Expander Mandrel Dies for semi auto 223. Worth it?
With my WOA Varmint Barrel and handloads with basic Pacesetter dies I'm able to get relatively consistent 5 shot groups averaging just under MOA with good components (77/69 SMK with N140/8208 etc)
I want to squeeze out more accuracy so I want to upgrade my dies. I have several questions.
Is the Whidden Full Length Set good for semi autos? Will it effect feeding?
Is the Whidden Set compatible with the 21st Century Expander Mandrel Dies? I tried looking into this but this information is so hard to find
Will I get noticeable accuracy improvements by upgrading to these components with a semi-auto? Many places I read suggests that neck tension and neck sizing don't really help accuracy much in gas guns and is really only useful for bolt actions
Thanks for the help everyone I really appreciate it
