I'm a UKG, currently FY5. I applied for anaesthetics training the past 2 years but didn't get past interview stage. One of the consultants at my current fellow job in ICU is very supportive and is trying to facilitate an anaesthetics fellow job with the aim of working towards the IAC and then developing competencies in line with the 2021 anaesthetics curriculum.
I also have an interview for a different ICU fellow job in a big tertiary centre that could be a good option.
Does anyone have any experience with alternative training for anaesthetics - is this something that would be feasible / worth pursuing?
