AITA for leaving clothes from the dryer on the floor

I just want to see what people’s opinions are on this topic probably not as crazy as the other stories on here. I have a brother who is pretty fucken petty and annoying with certain things in the house. In this situation he had his clothes in the dryer and I noticed as I went to put the towels to wash. I let him know and asked if he could remove his clothes. As usual I was met with “you’re being fucking annoying” and “get out of my room”.

So, 1 or 2 hours have passed and I went to put the towels to dry and, in order to do so, I put his clothes on the floor because he did not grab them before hand. As I’m turning on the dryer he steps out of the room (what a coincidence lmao) and gets angry. He says “why didn’t you put them in my basket” and I replied with “how am I supposed to know that’s your basket”. He calls me “fucken disrespectful” and “I’m ignoring you, you annoying bitch” as I state the only person he should be mad at is himself.

I can’t make this post without stating I also leave my clothes in the dryer but I always make sure to take it out for whoever is going to need it when they let me know or right after the load finishes drying so the next person doesn’t have to worry about my clothes. My brother repeatedly leaves his clothes in there and it’s always the same situation every time.

Edits/clarification: I appreciate everyone for their perspective on the situation. For more clarification, the washer dryer sit in the middle of the hallway on the 2nd floor and the hallway connects the “game room” and that’s where he had his basket. They were no baskets in front of the washer and dryer. Also the floor is carpet.

And yes I know I was petty but it’s always a hassle from him with getting his clothes out, I understand I can put his clothes on the dryer but he continues to do this. I feel like I’m at a point where if I go looking for a basket or put his clothes on top it benefits him with no consequences towards his actions
