I built a Chrome translation extension that lets you use your own LLM API
I was using Immersive Translate for webpage translation, but I found the free version quite limited because most of the higher-quality translation models require a paid subscription.
As a result, I created my own Chrome extension, Easy Translater. It lets you use your own LLM API (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or other compatible providers) instead of being locked into a specific service.
It can translate:
- Webpages
- Selected text
- PDF files opened in Chrome
- DOCX files opened in Chrome
