Find My going off in the middle of the night?
Last night I was at a friend's place and had my MacBook with me. I misplaced it and as I was leaving his house I was looking for it and tried to ping it using Find My on my phone. Nothing. The "play sound" button just loaded and loaded and did nothing. No noise. I eventually found it on my own and left back to my place and went to bed. At 2am I was woken up by my MacBook playing the Find My pinging sound full blast in my bedroom and I had to open it and dismiss the "Find My" notification on my Mac to make it stop. I have a 17 Pro and an M5 MacBook Pro, so nothing about my stuff is outdated. How in the world did it delay like that and play the sound 3 hours later??? I guess I'm just annoyed because of the way it woke me up but I'm genuinely puzzled by how the pinging feature failed and then decided to work 3 HOURS LATER. Does anyone know what the problem is?
