My old girl has been more clingy these past couple of months compared to when she was younger

I'm not complaining about her increase of affection, but she's always been a you can look at me but don't touch me kinda of cat. Then she's had a switch when she turned 13 back in December and she's been to the vet and the only thing is she's arthritic, and has her back fusing together along with confirming that she has a congenital deformity. Which for anyone who's curious is that her sternum goes slightly inward; thankfully it's very mild and again she was born like that.

If anyone wants to give me insight that'll be great, but I also assume it's because she's old.
