Overwhelmed by Sleep Training Options
I have a 6 month old that typically goes down between 7:30 and 8:30pm. For a long time, she was sleeping in 5-6 hr stretches but has regressed to more like 1.5-3. She eats 3-4 times during the night, currently, as it's how we soothe her back to sleep. Doc says she doesn't NEED to eat at night, but will continue waking in anticipation of food until we break the habit. We know it's time to sleep train because we're losing our minds.
Folks keep recommending books but I barely have 2 brain cells to rub together right now. The Youtube videos on the subject make my eyes glaze over. If sleep training worked for you, could you please just give me the TL;DR of what you did and how long it took to see a difference? We're traveling out of state as a family mid-month and I'm scared to bring this fragmented sleep schedule with us.
