Carmax suing me for a lemon!!! CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT COMING?!!!

So here is my description of the events that unfolded with Carmax.

On June 28th, 2025 me & my wife purchased a used 2014 Toyota Sienna SE on the Carmax website (VIN# 5TDXK3DC4ES484239). It looked immaculate in their photos.

We really liked the Sienna that they had for sale. The 2014 Toyota Sienna only had 53,113 miles on it (I believe that the odometer was rolled back from 253,113). When the vehicle was delivered I immediately noticed that the entire outside paint job was completely riddled with gashes, scratches, rock chips, dents, and the entire front bumper looked like it was sand-blasted. The exterior was in horrible shape. It looked nothing like it did on the Carmax website (they 100% obviously photoshopped the images). Car's with only 53,113 miles don't look beat up like that. Cars with 200K + miles look like that!

But, we really liked the car so we decided to get a new bumper and have it painted.

Then I popped the hood and saw that the entire engine bay was covered in rust. All of the fluids were low or empty. The car had a dead battery with rust all over the battery cables. And the headlight harness was laying on top of the engine (that's why the headlights didn't work -they weren't even plugged in). So we decided to buy a new battery, and new headlights because we really liked the car. Then I noticed the next day after delivery that one of the tires was flat. And the actual wheels were not from a toyota sienna -they were from a toyota venza.

So I pumped air into the tire, I bought headlights, I bought a new battery, I degreased the entire engine bay, I bought a new front bumper and had it painted, and I thought that we finally had a good car. In total we made repairs in the amount of $886.49.

I think it was a few days later I went to drive it and the new battery was dead. That made me completely change my mind about this toyota sienna. Carmax had delivered me a lemon. They obviously never even put the vehicle through their supposed 125 point inspection. I drove the Sienna 0.01 miles because I parked it on the side of our house.

I was upset and called Carmax to return the car to them. After numerous calls they refused to let me return it because the return window had expired. I called again on speaker phone and the Carmax employee Ashley Williams told me "FUCK YOU TRAILER PARK TRASH" and hung up on me. Me and my wife heard her because the call was on speakerphone. I immediately called back and escalated the call. They told me to call back again the next day.

The next day I called Carmax again and they still refused to let me return the car. They also told me that Ashley Williams "Had been let go" as in fired (which I don't believe, and want proof of that). After repeated calls, Carmax refused to let us return the car.

So, the only way for us to return the vehicle was to do a voluntary repossession, or voluntary surrender. After 2 months Carmax came and took the Sienna away. And we thought that was the end of it. We knew it would hurt our credit scores but it was our only option.

So now Carmax has sent us a demand letter demanding that we pay $12,169.93 by May 30th, 2026, or they will sue us. We have spent the last 2 weeks trying to find legal representation and have gotten nowhere. Are there any other people out there with the same problem?
