I think this blew up in a way they didn’t expect (surprise). The geriatric fucks running the show are arrogant and dumb and forget about the Streisand Effect everytime. This has just put a bigger spotlight on Mormon Stories. I’m not talking about media exposure. The media doesn’t give a fuck about Mormonism and neither do most nevermos. I’m talking about the members that the fraudsters at LDS inc work so diligently hard to lie to and defraud . Mormon Stories’ views are up and Dehlin’s story is all over the morridor. They keep trying to spin it as brand confusion and nobody’s buying it accept the dolts who listen to Jasmin Rappleye and think she’s legit instead of a paid propaganda shill.
Now that John is being sued he’s allowed Discovery. His lawyers can request emails, texts, meeting notes, and other documents from the church to defend himself. I can’t see the church allowing this or welcoming it.
I predict they quietly drop the suit and Dehlin makes a few more concessions (he already has) and then the church moves on and pretends it never happened.
The publicity is too much for them. They really don’t like the idea of more members learning more about MS podcast, and they’ve essentially just given a major platform inviting everyone to check out MS by making them aware of it.
I could be wrong, but I’m curious to see if anyone else sees some legs on this theory.
