UIUC or UC Berkeley (pre-med)?
Hii everyone!
I’m a high school senior and I found out that I got into both of these schools for bio/ pre-med track. However, for uiuc I would pay ~40k while berk~89k. I know berk is a much better school but uiuc is in-state for me. I am currently on the pre-med track but I’m not completely sure if that is what I want to do later down the line. I know berk is strong for biotech and this is something I’ve looked into for career paths but honestly I feel like I’m making the biggest decision ever right now. My family is able to pay both tuitions but I’m scared of having them pay the price of berk only for me to not succeed (already feeling imposter syndrome 😭).
Anyway, I’m writing this super late at night because I cannot stop thinking about this and sleep. I would really appreciate some advice.
