Hey everyone.

I shoot fitness content — studio talking head videos, recipe content, and gym workouts. I tried vlogging while walking but the footage quality isn't great.

Current camera — Nikon Z5II with 24-120mm f/4. It's a decent camera but the menu is confusing, IBIS while walking is weak, and for video it only has a waveform — no spot meter or proper exposure tools. Autofocus while filming myself solo sometimes loses my face. The phone app is basically useless.

I'm deciding between two options:

GH7 — total kit ~$3,000 Body ~$1,867 + Leica 9mm f/1.7 ($507) + Leica 12-35mm f/2.8 ($400) + extra battery + filters

S1IIE — total kit ~$3,893 Body ~$2,040 + Lumix S 24-105mm f/4 ($787) + Lumix S 18mm f/1.8 ($840) + extra battery + filters

Difference between kits: ~$893 in favor of GH7.

I shoot solo, no assistant. Home studio with dark background. Gym has mixed artificial and natural lighting.

What really appeals to me about the GH7: walking stabilization is impressive, the camera + 9mm lens weighs around 950g, and the 4:3 Open Gate shooting mode is great for reframing. Also the MFT lens ecosystem is more compact and affordable.

Main advantage of S1IIE: full frame sensor (better high ISO performance), False Color, and slightly better ergonomics. But lenses are heavier and more expensive.

Looked at the Nikon ZR but didn't like the walking stabilization. The Lumix S9 felt too small in the hand.

Looking for advice — what else should I consider with a video-first focus? Anyone who has shot on both — is there a real visible difference in footage quality for social media content? Or does the GH7 cover everything and the full frame premium isn't worth it given the lens costs?
