100 km ultra marathon
I am thinking of participating in a 100km ultra marathon around a mountain near my hometown. The limit to finish it is 24 hours, which makes the pace more like fast walking than running. There are lots of steep climbs and rocky descents, so there will be running+walking. I am below the knee amputee with ossur pro flex terra. I am pretty sporty and active, have no problem walking 30 km hike. But haven’t trained running. Only have done 5k runs for charity with not big of a problem. I have around a year to prepare. Has someone done that? Are there any dangers of breaking my ossur? How should I prepare my stump and all kind of advices you can give me?
