Is Ling 3 tiny underrated for its size?

I was checking out benchmarks of this model and apparantly better than Qwen3.5 9b reasoning across the bench on artificial analysis. I have used the 9b model for variety of stuff and it has been amazing, but if this is better then why not switch. I am downloading it rn to test it irl, but ppl are we missing out on other models by hyping a few select open source labs?? Anyone tested this model btw? Is it that good?

I made a calculus quiz practise website for ISC grade 12.

Ok so yeah basically title. Its got MCQ questions. You can choose between integration, differentiation and mixed. There is an internal dataset of 60 question types (for each integration and differentiation), questions are randomly chosen. Made with Qwen3.7 Plus. Make me an integration MCQ practise html app. Random integrations, all different. I'll provide link in comments

Only laptop/desktop support rn. A digital whiteboard for rough work is provided.

Any feedback is appreciated. How much can you score?

Am I being unrealistic?

I want to get into either MIT/University of Arizona in US, or Oxford, Imperial, Warwick, Glasgow, Manchester in UK for astronomy/astrophysics/physics (Whatever the university has).

I am from India. 92% in 10th grade ICSE. Expecting 95%+ in 12th ISC till now. 4 in AP comp sci. 1410 in SAT June attempt, with only 2 weeks of light practise. I know that's less, so I will give again in Nov and aim for 1500+ with more practise.

I have a few achievements and extracurriculars:

  • Author of a childrens space book "The Wonders of Cosmos" – 2025
  • National-level participant, CISCE Yoga Competitions (2022–2023)
  • Black Belt in Karate (Shito-Ryu Style), 2022
  • Qualified up to Regional Level in IRC – CISCE & IIT Delhi (2024)
  • Secured 3rd Position in NAEST 2025 regionals.
  • Completed Python and AI Program from Rancho Labs – IIT Delhi IHFC initiative (2025)
  • Secured First Position in Senior category of Astro-Creator competition in World Space week, by Space India.
  • Participated in International Asteroid Search Campaign two times
  • Participated in Sally Ride EarthKam
  • Participated in Galaxy Cruise and classified 1000 galaxies in one month.
  • Was School Captain and editorial captain for 1 year, editorial vice captain for 2 years before that. Also Space club head for one year.
  • Bronze Honour in IAAC finals 2026.
  • Research paper on a corollary of the Weak Goldbach Conjecture published in a community maths journal

Why do we have to make such damn long projects and practical files 😭?

Why the heck do we need to make 40 page long Physics, Chemistry and Maths projects??? The fact that english is the shortest project is so weird. Is it same in all schools?

Bruh I couldn't even finish in whole summer break and now its just 3 days and I also need to complete practical files of chemistry, physics and computers which in themselves are atleast 100+ pages each 😭.

IDK HOW ILL MANAGE. Is it same everywhere?

What is the best book for learning ML/Deep Learning maths?

I am 17 years old and have a particularly deep interest in ai architectures and llms. I regularly read new papers from arXiv and huggingface and tend to understand only half of it, mainly from intuition. However I understand its impossible to understand anything completely without knowing the maths behind it. I do follow channels like 3b1b, but are there any books that I should also read in order to actually understand (and possibly contribute) to the field upto my capability?

Does anyone have enough compute to make a distillation dataset out of GLM5.2?

Same as title. Some lucky ppl among us have massive amounts of compute and can run even GLM 5.2. Can someone plss make a BIG distillation dataset (eg 700k-1M examples) so that we can train smaller models like Qwen3.5 properly on it and have better models?

It would be amazing for the community.

I need 95% in boards this year (2027) and I am confused

Basically for the university I am trying, I need to get an aggregate of 90%, 3 subjects 95% and 2 at 85%. Physics, Maths, Computers at 95% and chemistry, english at 85%. Otherwise I have everything in my profile for this university (i guess).

But my 11th did not go good at ALL. I got aggregate of 89%. Now I am confused what to consider, because despite just 89% I got rank 2 in my class.

(I did do good in 10th and earlier.)

I also need good marks in chemistry because it is my weakest subject.

Does anybody have any tips? Has anyone ever faced the same situation? What are even my chances?

Just to add:

I am not prepping for JEE/NEET, as my target is a foreign uni.

What Doraemon gadgets do we have right now?

I mean, we have come a long way since Doraemon was first written. Do we have absolutely ANY gadget in Doraemon that exists (not necessarily normal, just EXISTS in labs also works) irl already?

I don't mean the famous gadgets- I mean the episode specific gadgets that have been shown only once(or very few times) in the show.

Ideal Local model technically possible?

Now that we have some great local models that can possibly run in mid-tier GPUs.. it makes me question, maybe companies have the capability to make much better models that are as small?

Like, I am imagining a model that is as good as coding like Qwen3.6 27b and at the same time as good as Gemma 4 12b at languages and other stuff, at just say 30-32b dense. It doesn't theoretically sound insane at this point, maybe in the future we will have models that good?

Another thought- maybe cloud models aren't AS big as we presumed now, and companies are just hiding their best architectures/training? Like if in-case Gemma 4 124B is as good as Gemini 3 flash, maybe Gemini 3 flash/pro are 124-150b models and not a multi-trillion params beast like we thought?

Am I just overthinking, or like is there a possibility? What are your thoughts?

GemGuide- Computer Interface for Physically Challenged People on #kaggle

Hey there! I am a grade 12 student. Recently I made a project called GemGuide, which makes computer usage much more accessible for people with physical disabilities like muscular dystrophy. It uses eye tracking to control the mouse, and an ai agent (controlled by voice) to open apps, files, folders, type things, etc for quick and easy navigation. I submitted it for the Gemma 4 Good hackathon on kaggle, because I used the Gemma 4 model. A video link is given in the write-up that shows how it works.
