Quines accions individuals us agraden i per què?

$PENG: an actually good AI hardware play

Everything on the Hardware side of AI seems to have had a run recently, and so has this ticker, but I think it is worth taking a look at it. Penguin Solutions is a hardware company trading under the ticker PENG, formerly known as Smart Global Holdings.

This company, as everything in this world, has been pivoting towards AI from its traditional business (basically low-margin consumer hardware). The reason i am posting this stock here is because I believe it has still some room to run, and actually become a good hardware play after this AI capex supercycle. The financials are solid. NORMALIZED PE ratio around 30 (not normalized is around 80, which scares a lot of people), and forward PE ratio of around 20 (and lowering due to upwards earnings revision. Good margins (and expanding due to memory pivot), PS ratio of around 2... A solid company. The company has been raising guidance. First, they set reveune growth for FY at 6%, then raised to 12%, and now they say the EPS will come at the upper level of their guidance.

The reason why this is not another AI slop is its competitive angle: PENG does not sell to Hyperscalers (which we all know eventually will wind down the CapEx), but to smaller AI-related cloud companies. I am talking sovereign funds, Neoclouds... a whole bunch of small companies that want to pivot towards AI but need somebody to organize data centers for them. What PENG does is integrate and organize computers, and offer INTEGRATED solutions for these companies, which may not have the expertise or the human resources to set a whole data ceter for themselves.

They also have a new caché technology, which would allow GPUs to coordinate better, apparently, though I have yet to take a deeper look into that from a technical perspective. In summary, this is a SMCI with much better management (recently hired some top executive that used to be in NOKIA), less dilution, and earlier in the execution. NFA, what do you all think?

There could be an '87-type crash this year

The similar is remarkable: tensions in Iran (operation Earnest Will vs current war), fears of overvaluation, automated trading algorythms. NFA, but I thought it is an interesting scenario, given we have had quite a few decades with similar panics. I know the trading stops when ths stock market drops more than 10%, but panics can still happen. What do you all think?
