Scheduled move on monday - mould in new apartment today; anyone dealt with that?

hi all

i finally found a new place after looking for months.

new kitchen

New flooring

New wardrobes

i get keys today and its clear there is mould painted over on all the skirting. which aligns with a floor being replaced. This is throughout the apartment - bedroom; kitchen and living space.

i emailed the agent and they referred me to the disclosure doc stating they werent aware of mould.

it does not meet vic minimum standards With the mould visible.

my movers are booked for monday.

im set to return keys Tuesday

i had to move as was given 90 days for my landlord to sell with vacant possession - that notice period would have finished in ten days from now.

the strongest action here is force remediation and not move in until its fixed, or exit.

has anyone done this before? Im new to the state do dont have family i can stay with. i dont know what to do.

Noob in Vic, renting here first time.

rent is obviously paid monthly, however i was given 90 days notice due to selling with vacant posession.

Im in the final month of that 90 days, and have paid rent in advance for a 2 week increment only. This means, that as of today, I am paid up to May 13, so not behind as such despite the change in days normally paid.

I did this in light of the 14 days notice period available on my side to move earlier if I find a new tenancy, and not trusting my shitty REA to refund any overpaid rent; Im scared of a delay and them screwing it up.

Am I in the wrong by doing this?

Should I have paid the full month?

Has anyone been screwed by the REA in a similar predicament before?
