I’m a student from India and I’m planning to move to Austria in the future for my Master’s in a tech-related field.
I wanted to ask honestly — do international students actually get software/IT jobs in Austria after graduation, or is it very difficult right now?
Online I see mixed opinions. Some people say there are opportunities in tech, while others say it’s hard for foreigners because of language requirements and the current job market.
I’m mainly interested in backend/software development, and I’m trying to understand the real situation before making long-term plans.
How important is German for tech jobs?
Are companies open to hiring international graduates?
Are there enough opportunities in cities like Vienna, Graz, or Linz?
I would really appreciate hearing real experiences from people living, studying, or working in Austria.
