Hoping to get some fresh name ideas. Our baby girl is due in October and husband and I cannot agree on a name at all.
He seems to like more common, 'in style' names while I seem drawn to classic names or gender neutral names, so our tastes are vastly different. We also have a long last name, so we don't want a name that is longer than two/three syllables. I'm not too keen on giving her a long name and constantly calling her by a nickname, but I'm open to it if it's *the* name. Also trying to not give her a name that she'll hear multiple times in her classes (like Olivia, Isla, Sofia. I love all of these names but they are way too common!)
A few names we've suggested that have been vetoed by the other:
-Charlotte
-Evelyn
-Sadie
-Madison/Addison
-Ashton/Ashlyn
-Brynn/Brynlee
-Lana/Layna
-Elise (love the name but cannot use it as it's another child that is in the family's name)
-Maeve
-Lucy
-Lilian/Lilia
-Austin
If it helps, boy name would have been Preston, Elijah, or Ashton.
Thanks in advance for suggestions! I feel like I've looked at every name list and reddit thread there is and have disliked 98% of names I've seen (or just didn't like how they sounded with our last name) but hoping to get some fresh ideas with this.
