So, we're having a birthday party for one of our family members around this weekend. We stated on the invitation, that the party is: "open house", meaning that guests can come and go as they please.
Today however, I receive a text from one of our invited family members that they are bringing extra guests, who are not invited to the party. We did not account for any extra people, and the food's already been ordered. In her text, she states that she thought open house meant that ANYONE could come, and not just the invited guests. AITJ for telling her that she can't bring her friends (which I might add we do NOT know) to the party?
PLEASE NOTE: The invite was sent to SPECIFIC people within the family, not posted publicly on any social media's/group chats.
