Hi,

I’d really appreciate some advice. My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 11 months, and we’re coming up to our one-year anniversary. I really love him and want to build a strong, healthy relationship together.

Lately, I’ve been struggling with feeling quite lonely because he’s a farmer and works very long hours. I understand his job and I’m proud of how hard he works, but I still find it difficult at times.

I also know I have issues with trust. I can react quickly and sometimes assume the worst, even though I usually realise later that I’ve overreacted and we talk things through.

Another thing I’m struggling with is how much I rely on him, both emotionally and physically. I don’t like feeling so dependent, and sometimes it feels like he’s my only close friend, which I know isn’t healthy.

I’d really like advice on how to improve my mindset so I can be a better partner and make our relationship stronger. I’m also open to ideas for date nights that fit around his busy schedule.

If anyone has experience with trust issues or avoidant attachment, I’d really appreciate any tips on how to work through that and build a healthier sense of trust
