Is now a good time to upgrade my CPU/GPU?
I currently have an RX 580 series and a Ryzen 5 2600. Lately, I feel like my PC is starting to fall behind. There have been several times where I wanted to play a more modern game, but my PC either couldn’t run it at all or couldn’t run it at a playable level.
My main question is whether now is a good time to upgrade my CPU and GPU, or if, considering the current market, it would be better to wait. Aside from the usual stuff about memory prices, I’m pretty out of touch when it comes to the current PC hardware market and which parts are actually worth buying right now.
I don’t plan to move to AM5, I want to stay on AM4 and play in 1080p
EDIT:
Thanks for all the replies, they’re very helpful.
Just to clarify, since I didn’t mention it: I’ll be buying it in the United States and bringing it back to my country, because import taxes were lowered a few weeks ago. So I don’t feel very confident buying used, although any tips on buying used in the United States are welcome. Still, given the situation in my country, it’s cheaper than ever to buy components, even if the prices are high by U.S. standards.
