genuinely curious about this. how did people working in marketing, digital marketing, brand, or content roles at large/well-known companies actually get in?

not looking for the textbook answer, just real stories. a few things i'm curious about:

• did your degree matter or nah?
• agency first or straight into a big company?
• how did you apply? referral, LinkedIn, cold apply?
• what do you think actually got you the role?
