What are the chances of Adsense rejecting my blog site? How do they evaluate?

Does anyone knows how long it takes for Adsense approval. I own a blogger site built on google's own blogspot. I apploed for adsense but it'a been more than 2 weeks and it still shows getting ready. What are the chances of them rejecting my blog site? How do they evaluate? and is there any better alternative?
