Looking to build a small network of bloggers / site owners

I run my own small site (1000-5000 views a month) and I’ve been thinking about putting together a group of people who also run smaller blogs, new websites, newsletters, media pages, etc.

Basically a group chat where we can meet other people doing the same thing, share ideas, collaborate, cross-promote when it makes sense, and help each other grow.

I also think there’s an opportunity to make some money together. For example, if a brand, business, creator, or individual wants promotion, they could pay to have multiple sites/pages in the network cover or promote them, and everyone who participates gets paid.

Comment or DM me. Would be cool to get the first group together and see where we can take it.

How do you decide which blog topic is actually worth writing?

AI can write almost any blog post now. But my problem is deciding what is actually worth writing.

I still spend a lot of time checking Google Trends, Reddit, search questions and other sources to see what people actually care about.

So I’m thinking of building a small tool that uses my website keywords and audience to find good topic opportunities from these sources.

Would something like this be useful to you? How do you find topics today?

Where do you get stuck in the writing process?

For those of you who blog regularly - particularly essays, newsletters, blog posts, longer-form nonfiction, etc. - I'm curious about something.

What part of the writing process do you find most challenging, or experience the most friction around?

Besides coming up with what to write about, are there particular points in your writing where you tend to get stuck, lose momentum, procrastinate, or find it harder to keep going?

Basically curious which parts of writing present the most friction for you (getting started, drafting, developing an idea, returning to something unfinished, revising, editing, finishing, etc.)

Accountability Without Cruelty: Reflecting on Jason Arday

Jason Arday, first of all my thoughts go to his friends and his family who now have to deal with his loss.

Before the witch hunt was launched about him I had not heard of him but I kept seeing articles and things about him online and I was confused why he was considered " the talk of the town".

Do I think Jason lied about some things? Yeah probably. However, there are " nurses", " lawyers" and "doctors" who have forged qualifications which has put people's health at risk and they weren't hounded like Jason was.

We have all exaggerated our experience sometimes in a CV, in a job application or maybe even a grant application. Jason did not harm anyone and yes although he shouldn't have lied if some of the claims are true about him. He didn't do anything which warranted him being treated the way he was.

Imagine making a mistake at work and knowing that, instead of it being dealt with between you, your employer and the relevant professional or institutional bodies, the details were suddenly being discussed publicly by thousands of strangers. The psychological pressure of that must be overwhelming.

Jason's story should perhaps make us pause and think about how we respond when someone is exposed for doing something wrong. Do we seek accountability and resolution, or do we pile on until the punishment becomes something far greater than the original wrongdoing?

We never know what someone is carrying behind closed doors. Perhaps one of the lessons we can take from this tragedy is that accountability should never require us to abandon compassion.

R.I.P Jason

Heartfailure Blog

Hey, I have started a blog for living life as a first time dad in his late twenties with an early stage heartfailure diagnosis.

The purpose of the blog is to help grieve my diagnosis and process my own thoughts by putting them down on 'paper'. If I can help one or two people along the way then this will be even more of a success to me.

If you know anyone with heartfailure this may help, or if you think it will help yourself then please take a look at this.

My first blog post covers the process of being diagnosed, how i felt upon recieving my diagnosis and how I now plan to accept these new changes. This may help someone similar understand what they may face if they are currently chasing a diagnosis.

Thank you :)

Reviving my 2010 DIY Craft Blog

Hi all! Excited to be a part of the group as I’ve been blogging since 2010 as my side passion project and have gone through periods of neglecting what I had built. I was recently laid off and decided it was time to revive what I started. I would like to turn it into real income through affiliates and partnerships, ad network, etc. I’ve since been updating my SEO, broken links, etc. and started posting more. My traffic has gained a little momentum but a lot has changed in 15 years.

Here is my latest post: Madeleine Cookie Oysters(fyi- it’s a DIY Craft blog so Pinterest has been a constant for traffic). Excited to learn from everyone and happy to share my experiences and tips!

God Wants Everyone to Be Saved

🔗 Link: God Wants Everyone to Be Saved
📖 Blog: Journal of a True Christian

📝 Snippet / Summary:
God Wants Everyone to Be Saved explores the contrast between God’s desire to save and the devil’s desire to deceive. Through 1 Timothy 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9, and John 3:16, the post emphasizes that God patiently calls people to repentance and gives opportunities to turn toward truth. But salvation is more than simply removing sin—it requires filling the heart with God’s Word and continuing to walk in His will.

The post also warns about the subtle ways deception can work through bitterness, envy, anger, division, and selfish ambition. Instead of allowing these things to grow, believers are called to replace them with forgiveness, love, unity, and righteousness. Since God desires even those who have offended us or need correction to be saved, Christians should correct without hatred, speak truth without malice, and help one another remain in the truth.

🎯 Value Intent:
To remind readers that God’s desire is salvation, not destruction, and that this should shape how we treat others. True spiritual discernment is not merely recognizing the enemy’s deception—it is choosing truth, love, forgiveness, and unity so that we do not become instruments of division ourselves. The post calls believers to hear God’s Word, keep it, and help others remain in the truth.

💬 Discussion Prompt / Flair:
“If God wants everyone to be saved, how should that change the way we correct, forgive, and deal with people who have offended us?”

It is long, and boring, but I cannot help but leave it here, for it might lead to ideas far greater than I could ever come up with talking to a rock.

what website should i use to post my blogs?

I really want to start a blog, I've mapped it all out and everything. However, I can't find the right place to publish them; I'm not looking to gain money from this, I'm merely trying to publish my writings. I'm hoping to put it on my resume and try and show off how important this is to me.

I've looked on Wix, Blogger, Substack, Medium, but idk which one is the best for me to use without ALSO not having to pay for anything. I'm a broke college student. I have no money to put into this lol. I just wanna publish the things that I wanna tell people even if no one is going to read it. It will help me get things off my chest in a more professional way.

My first blog — I finally decided to put some thoughts into words

Hey everyone!

I’ve always wanted to write. Nothing particularly grand—just little thoughts, observations, and things that have been sitting in my head for a while. I’ve kept telling myself that I’d start someday, and, well… I finally did.

I wrote my first blog post, and it’s a pretty personal one. It’s about something I’ve thought about for a long time: what it means to not be someone’s first choice, and whether that really needs to matter.

It’s probably not perfect, but I figured the first step was simply to put something out there.

If anyone’s interested in giving it a read, here it is (it's just a minute read):

https://spewmymind.blogspot.com/2026/08/does-it-matter.html

Would genuinely love to hear what you think—good, bad, or somewhere in between. :)

Thanks for reading!

URL change and indexing

I started my blog https://lukewarmmom.com in 2025 Aug in wordpress premium (not self-hosted). It was ok so far with like 1000+ views per month. So I applied for journey with mediavine and got removed from the queue and had to reapply, only to get rejected. I decided to fix my blog for another 3 months before reapplying.

First thing I changed was the url of my pages.. everything had the format https://domain/date/postname . I made it https://domain/postname. Now I am having a hell of a time changing all the internal links and pinterest links manually.

Would it have been easier if my site was self hosted? I always get feedback from here that my site should be self hosted for applying to mediavine. But that didn't seem to be a problem as there are plugins related to mediavine available in wordpress premium.Anyone who monetized without self hosted wordpress?

Can I use a tool to change the internal links in pinterest? What are the odds that my Pinterest account will get affected if I change links manually many times a day?

My older pages are still indexed in Google and getting a few clicks that are going to 404. I am not able to get an automatic 303 redirection solution for free . So I left it as such.

Any suggestions .. plugins or shortcuts for changing the internal links automatically? And getting google indexing done quicker?
