OCD

Hey all! I’ve been obsessed with pulling it my leg hair with tweezers for about 2 years now and shamefully only recently realised this wasn’t just a random activity but had become an unhealthy obsession.

I have been diagnosed with OCD and occasionally “gain” new obsessions, this being the most recent one.

Curious if anyone has a similar experience where this may be a part of their OCD rather than a diagnosis of it self? I’m seeing my therapist tomorrow so I’ll discuss it with her too for sure! But just wanting to gain some insights!

Thank you 🫶🏽

Follow up from earlier post

Hi all!

I posted here about 2 weeks ago with some questions since I had started experiencing symptoms that I wasn’t sure were from my migraines or may be TN.

I got a bunch of great responses so I just wanted to thank you all, I sadly did get the official TN2 diagnosis over the weekend and am currently on oxycodone until I see my neurologist on Thursday.

I’m curious if anyone is also on other medication?

Most likely starting on Carbamazepine on Thursday, however I’m on anti depressants and anti psychotics for anxiety + ocd and insomnia so I may have to switch those over too. I did speak to my psychiatrist today and she said it was fine to try it all out first.

Safe to say I’m a bit overwhelmed and struggling with the fact I have now seem to have added a new neuro disease in to the mix… very thankful for this community though, as the future doesn’t seem quite as bleak due to you all sharing your experience, it makes me feel much less alone!

If anyone has had a similar experience I’d love to hear it!

Hi all! I want to start of by saying I do not have a TN diagnosis. Nor am I sure I have it. However I have had a persistent migraine and thus à chronic migraine diagnosis for the past 13 years.

Last week I started experiencing intense sharp pain in my teeth, coming from the side of my face and temple. Obviously I’m familiar with TN but to my knowledge these episodes are short and frequent.

This pain just does not go away and only gets worse and worse as the days go on. I have been to the dentist but like I feared, there’s no dental issues. I’m calling my neurologist tomorrow but I was wondering if anyone has experience with a pain that does not go away?

I genuinely don’t know what to do anymore as I’m in so much pain, so any tips are welcome!
