Whenever someone posts saying, "Help me identify this bear", I want to post and say, "That's Bob!" or "That's Irving!" or some other smart-alec answer.
I am locked in a continual struggle with my urge for mischief. This can be exhausting.
I'm technically homeless right now! Just after the new year, my landlord told me he wasn't renewing my lease so I had until the end of March to find a new place to live. I decided to bite the bullet and actually BUY a home....and I was ready to go on a nice place, until at the last second it was revealed that a previous owner had done renovations without the proper permits, so the city wasn't going to allow anyone to live there until it was re-inspected and more work done...and who knows how long that would take?
So I pulled out of the deal and am currently looking for another place (got my eye on a nice townhouse with a nice view...we'll see what develops), but in the meantime I had to put all my stuff in storage and some wonderful friends opened their guest room to me for as long as I need it. And...they store their collection of teddies there!
So there's Teddy, wrapped in his little blanket, with my friends' collection, safe up on a shelf. My friends (a married couple, I was best man!) have two dogs, one of whom will tear up any teddy she gets her paws on (otherwise a sweet dog).
Hopefully soon I can have pictures of Teddy in his new house, and us having our first tea party. But for now, I'm beyond grateful to have a place to stay and caring friends who are there for me. And I'm grateful for Teddy.
