Jalen Hurts into 2027/2028

How secure is Jalen Hurts’ job going into 2028? The offense has really struggled, especially in the passing game. After the jurgens trade, the Eagles now have 2 firsts and 2 seconds in the 2028 draft. If things don’t improve, that gives Howie a ton of ammo to go get a QB. Feels like 2027 could be a pretty big year for Hurts.

Mac Jones - What do we think

After a very impressive starting stint with the 49ers throwing to essentially their practice squad, he’s back in the squad on an improved contract for one more year. Thoughts on if he gets a new job after, ideas on potential destinations (Steelers, Vikings, Eagles?, browns, cardinals). Do you guys think he has shown the potential to be a franchise qb?

Burden vs Loveland overlap

I’m curious how people are thinking about the target distribution in Chicago. Burden and Loveland seem to have a fair amount of route-tree overlap, with both likely earning a lot of their volume on option routes, crossers, seams, sit routes and other short-to-intermediate concepts over the middle. Odunze feels a little different because more of his value can come on boundary and higher-aDOT routes like digs, comebacks, fades, back-shoulders and deep overs. Could that make Burden and Loveland more likely to cannibalize each other’s volume while Rome maintains a distinct role even if he may or may not lead the team in targets?

Coen on Parker Washington

Q: What kind of trust is Parker Washington earned with you over this last year?

Coen: “A ton. He’s a guy that every play he comes back and has communication on what he see’s out there. The relationship with Trevor continues to develop. And then for us as coaches - his toolbox of being able to play inside, play outside, run routes at all 3 levels. And his football knowledge has continued to ascend. What he sees pre snap vs what he sees post snap, how people and leverages change based on coverages. The knowledge is higher which makes it easier to trust them come gameday.”
