Benefits of a mulching mower

What are the pros/cons of a mulching mower. My lawn, when laid, will be quite small - 100 square meters - but I don't want to keep raking it. If I use a real lawnmower to get the length short, then set the robot mower off, does it make much difference if the grass is mulched before being spat out?

How good are auto mowers with stepping stones?

Our garden designer has created a plan that has a rustic style pathway made from randomly shaped stepping stones. Will this cause problems? Obviously they need to be sunk into the lawn enough to prevent blade clashes, but would it confuse navigation systems?

Registering an imported classic in the Netherlands

I brought my 1968 Alfa Spider over to the Netherlands when I moved from the UK. Is anyone familiar with the process for getting a classic like this registered?

My end of days turntable set up

Unless I win the lottery, this is my last vinyl system.

It's been my "final" system since the early 1990s, so I'm pretty confident it will outlast me. The turntable is a Roksan Xerxes, with an SME IV arm, and a Koetsu Urushi cartridge. It has been upgraded with a newer and uprated PSU, and a SME V fluid damper. I replaced the original black ash finish with a wax brushed veneer.

The phono preamp is a home built EAR834 clone. The other amplification is a Conrad Johnson PF1, and a pair of Vacuum Tube Logic MB300 monoblocs.

The speakers are Sonus Faber Electas, rebuilt with SEAS drivers.

It sounds quite good.

My second system is a retro-hybrid

Recreating my set up from the 1980s as a second system. I got the Dual off eBay for £25, parts only, no headshell. A new belt, and a carbon fibre headshell for my spare Denon cartridge - all good to go. I would have loved to have found a Michell Focus One S, which was my original turntable, but too rare now.

The pre/power amp is my own, bought new after university. I doubt anyone outside the UK would be able to ID it 🤔 I really wanted something that wasn't the ubiquitous NAD 3020 that everyone else had.

The Wharfedale Diamonds are new models, replacing the Diamond IIIs I had originally.

It sounds pretty good, but I would like to get the deck off the cabinet, onto a proper isolation table or shelf.
