Donkey is from Old MacDonalds farm
I feel I have to bring this up to a wider community so everyone can see it 😭. Shrek 5 is about to come out, and Donkey was just announced to have a movie around his origin story. People have made videos and theories, even for a couple of years, trying to piece together Donkeys actual background and find out what fairytale he came from. They all state Donkey HAS to be from Pinocchio (boys were turned to Donkeys in that story), however, literally everyone in the world forgot that in Shrek Forever After, in the alternate universe Shrek is in and the witches and Donkey are bringing him to Rumplestiltskin, Donkey says “I am not going back to work for Old MacDonald”. It kind of irritates me lol. So… let’s expect the Donkey movie to be set on a farm with a bunch of other singing and talking animals.
