Without the federal tax credit requiring american made batteries to qualify dont you have to look at these? Going to continue to get cheaper and power better than Li-ion and no sourcing issues, gotta be a no brainer I would think. But that doesn't make it so with contracts and other considerations. The cold weather performance part is huge for many and one of the biggest negatives of ev's.

I don't know what battery packs are costing now, but for some time it's been said that the battery pack is 1/2 the cost of ev's. Anyone know if that's still accurate?

I didn't realize how much cheap truck meant

gonna see some bullheaded, simple thinking people! Of all ilks! People still talking about wrapping the truck costing THOUSANDS... when 100 people have explained that it's pre cut vinyl and take off panels. Still quoting "thousands" to wrap it. WTF??????? 😄

Rivian started talking deposits on it's new R2 SUV model and I put $100 down to get a spot in line. We'll see who makes it to the finish line first here. Not likely to see anything till next year with either. The R2 will get much cheaper over time as the Launch edition is a lot more expensive. Gorgeous car though, and Rivian are so nice in general. Hoping both these companies survive.
