I have been given basically no instructions beyond “keep it dry, no lotion for another week and do what your pt says to do” - all of which I’m doing, but there’s all of *this* happening. I’m a worrier by nature and this just doesn’t feel right to me - especially the way there’s still a pretty deep crack at the top and there’s still a fair bit of occasional stabby pain going on.

I’m keeping it covered with a gauze pad, a gauze wrap, and an ace bandage since I cannot do any adhesives. I have to go back to work in just about 30 hours or I probably won’t be able to make rent in June, but I also don’t want to do anything to harm my long term recovery. My surgeon is a good half hour away and I couldn’t get to see him or his PA until probably Tuesday.

Any advice or reassurances would be very welcome! 😅
