Hypothyroidism was causing me male sexual symptom (not typical one)

Hello.

I hope this isn't an awkward topic, but I wanted to share it in case it helps someone else experiencing a similar symptom in the future.

It's possible that for much of my adolescence until I reached adulthood (24 years old), I had subclinical hypothyroidism/hypothyroidism without knowing it. I experienced typical symptoms such as cyclical hair loss, periods of fatigue, etc.

The thing is, around 22-24 years old, I started experiencing a rather uncomfortable sexual symptom. My semen stopped coming out with force! When I reached orgasm, it would squirt out, without strength, in a tear-like stream. This caused me discomfort and insecurity. My urine also came out with much less force. The amount of sperm produced also decreased significantly.

My theory is that somehow the hypothyroidism affected my pelvic floor or some other mechanism.

For a moment, I thought I was going to have fertility problems, and I was even starting to worry that I might soon develop erectile dysfunction.

All of this was resolved once I was treated for hypothyroidism. Honestly, I never would have put two and two together. I always thought it was solely influenced by sex hormones.

Honestly, I felt like a grandpa and was even starting to avoid female contact, haha.
