What’s your experience with Cannabis?

It all started with me saying to my neurologist (chronic pain and headache pain expert) that I sometimes vape and it somewhat helps dim the pain and maybe he can offer a specific subscription. He gave me a license and I got 20g (10T10C) a month. I never finished it but my tolerance was rising and I was vaping daily. I slowly started vaping during daytime as well (when working from home, on weekends etc. In parallel and regardless, I was diagnosed with (suspected) endometriosis and adenomyosis. When the pain was bad I didn’t care if I was vaping was too much because I was in such a dark place that it was the only thing that helped me cope. That’s what I also told my partner when he (rarely) said anything about it.
After some time, I started thinking that this is really affecting me in a bad way and I’m not sure how much it’s helping the pain. I was also much better with the endo after my Laparoscopy.
I reached out to my psychologist who suggested consulting a psychiatrist who suggested quitting cold turkey. I did. But after about 2 months I started vaping “only in the evenings” and then it was back to basically the same as before.

So, is it just an addiction and I’m better off? Did it just become my “pacifier” or is it normal to have to use it when living with daily pain?

This migraine led me to some dark thoughts

This illness pushed me into some very dark places. During my worst attacks, it even led me to suicidal thoughts. That’s not who I normally am at all. I’m actually a very positive, cheerful person.
Is this normal? Can you relate?

Who's tired of explaining about their migraine?

When did it start? Do you have aura? How often do you have it? Oh wow that's a lot... What are you on? Does it help? Do you think it's stress-induced? Have you found some foods trigger it?
