Ironically one of the reasons my family & I moved to Lancaster was to leave the frequent storms of The South & the associated power outages behind. Does this kind of widespread power event happen here often? Where we moved from: it was 2-4 or more times a year. Do folks here (especially in the city proper) have whole house generators? Honestly, I thought we left this kind of situation in the rear view…
TYIA for your help … TIL theres a huge historic steam train (the Big Boy) coming east in celebration of the USA 250th anniversary. Its coming through Lancaster but wont stop here. Also TIL its not coming through the Amtrak train station but is traveling through to Harrisburg on the Norfolk Southern Line. When I Googled where could i park to see it pass on July 7th (it wont be stopping in Lancaster) the answer was the rooftop of the Water Street Parking Garage (!!!) that would be super convenient but tbh: I’m not convinced
I have hunted for a map that shows me where the NS line is through Lancaster with no luck. Can someone help me? Id like to see the “Big Boy” when it passes through
