[FLASH][2005] Platform game where the hero grows up into a noir/cartoon character with a black top hat and rescues a princess
I'm trying to find an old Flash game I played around 2005 on a Brazilian Digerati CD collection, possibly "Click Especial nº 7" or one of the "404 Jogos" CDs.
Here’s what I remember:
- 2D side-scrolling platform game
- Cartoon/western art style
- The game was short, probably around 4 stages
- The main character starts as a child or younger-looking character
- Later in the game he becomes a skinny noir-style adult character wearing a black suit/paleto, black top hat/cartola, and dark glasses
- One stage had a ninja theme where the character threw shurikens
- The final stage was completely different: a boss fight inside a castle room
- The boss was holding a blonde princess in a pink dress hostage
- You used a pistol/gun to shoot the boss
- There were health bars for the player, the boss, AND the princess (you could accidentally shoot her)
- The game had voice acting in English
- There was blood/cartoon violence
- The final boss music sounded techno/electronic
The ending is the most memorable part:
after rescuing the princess, the protagonist carries her in his arms, but when he looks at her closely, her voice suddenly becomes very deep/manly and she appears ugly or grotesque. The protagonist immediately drops her on the ground and walks away. It was clearly meant as a dark comedy joke.
The game had a very Newgrounds-style humor and aesthetic from the early 2000s.
Does anyone recognize this game?
