the goal is to focus on the human side of music making in this age of artificial intelligence, industry power, monopolization of live event companies etc. in the first issue, we had artist features, columns from a music lawyer, a manager and a therapist who works with musicians, spotlights on industry news and some other pieces. we will not be including criticism, rankings, previews/reviews - that's not what I am going for with this.
one thing I would like to explore in a future issue is how local musicians have been impacted by AI. has it helped anyone make new music? do you think its drowning out human-made music on the streaming services?
