Context, I am an 18 year old male while currently talking with someone who is 16 years old turning 17 in the next month, we both work and are both in school but in different stages, and in our state the age of consent is 16.

I’ve heard a lot of opinions about this specific topic but now I’m wondering if it’s actually something worth discussing between us and see where we’d like to go. I was thinking of getting her parents involved and building a connection with them before taking any other step. Thoughts?
