My apartment/community garage allows EV charging, and I regularly see Teslas charging inside the garages using standard outlets. The garages seem to be on shared electrical lines though, so I wanted to check real-world experiences from others before using my Volvo’s included 120V charger regularly.

Questions: -

1. Has anyone charged a PHEV/EV long-term on a shared 120V apartment garage outlet? - Any overheating, warm outlets, or breaker trips? -

2. Anyone specifically doing this with a Volvo XC90 Recharge? Just trying to understand what’s considered reasonably safe vs risky in apartment/community garage setups.
