Hey everyone, I’m an incoming Temple student for Fall 2026 and I’m thinking about rushing an IFC fraternity, but I’m trying to be careful.

I’m not looking for a toxic party-only environment. I want a frat where the brothers are actually good people, where hazing is not part of the culture, and where academics still matter. My goals are serious: strong GPA, internships, networking, and building real friendships.

What I’m looking for:

  • Recognized/active Temple fraternity only
  • Low or no hazing culture
  • Good brotherhood and normal people
  • Academic-focused or at least not GPA-destroying
  • Good social life, but not constant alcohol pressure
  • Ideally has a house or real brotherhood space
  • Helpful for networking/future opportunities

Right now I’m considering groups like AKL, Pi Kapp, Delta Chi, Pi Lam, KDR, Beta, and AEPi, but I want honest student opinions from people who actually know Temple Greek life.

Which fraternities should I check out first, and which ones should I avoid?

Also, what questions should I ask during rush to figure out if a chapter is actually safe and not fake-safe?

Appreciate any honest advice.

Any other frats u would want to suggest ? I would happily take all suggestion and take them into points......
