Shed dormer framing

I am trying to think through what the best way to frame these opposing shed dormers in a truss roof would be. I know the standard way where you have a multi-ply girder truss at either end of the dormer and header off between them, then infill with rafters. But with the width of these dormers you would need a monster girder and header to do it.

In this scenario it seems to me that you could just create the “dormer” by spanning a scissor truss from outside wall to outside wall, then over framing the steeper peak on top.

Am I stupid? What am I missing? What would you do?

TIA
