Sewing!

Hello all
I have been really interested in learning how to sew for a few months now and would love some recommendations for the best stores to build my supply as a beginner. I have my eye on the Brother LX3817 sewing machine from Walmart that sells for 95$ and saw great reviews on it. However, if you are into sewing and know a better machine please lmk!
I want to start a few simple projects using fabric I thrifted from local thrift stores and soon will be visiting some local arts and crafts stores to get my supplies like Michael’s and hobby lobby but would love to hear from you!
If you know anyone from facebook or any other outlet that gives sewing classes for beginners I would love to enroll! I am really interested in enrolling with (Vod’s here), she seems like a very sweet lady and charges 85$/1.5 hour of private classes! If you tried her or have any other suggestion I would love to hear from you.
Any recommendations is welcome and appreciated.
Thank you all!!🥰
