F-1 Visa Interview – Refused Initially, No 221(g) Social Media Check Mentioned
Hi everyone, I had my F-1 visa interview on August 13th. Initially, my visa status showed “Refused.”
I was not given a 221(g) form mentioning a social media check, and the consular officer also did not ask me anything about social media during the interview.
As of today, my visa has not been approved yet, and I’m still waiting for an update.
Has anyone experienced something similar—initially showing “Refused” after the interview and then later changing to “Approved” or “Issued”?
If yes, how long did it take for your status to change?
Any recent experiences would be really helpful. Thanks!

I had my f1 visa interview for masters at Delhi
Interview went pretty smooth and he gave me 221g slip and asked whether social media profiles were public, I said yes officer they are public and I asked whether he needs links on sheet officer said no

CEAC status changed to refused yesterday night
Till now the same

Only administrative processing field is marked on 221g slip
Didn’t recieve any mail yet

My college starts on August 24th
Idk what to do now
Help me please
