Hey folks, I am doing a timing chain on a 2015 Equinox 2.4l, the kit has the phasers, solenoids, primary and secondary chains, guides, tensioners, sprockets, etc... I did pick up a new OEM timing cover that comes with the new oil pump and crank seal installed from factory.

The question I have is there anything I need to do with the oil pump to get it primed or does it self prime?
